Ventilators & N95 Masks for Hospital to help prepare for COVID-19 response

Grays Harbor Community Hospital

April 1 at 9:23 PM ·

Amazing Generosity! Thank You Seabrook Community Foundation WA for donating over $50,000 for the hospital to buy 3 New VOCSN Pro Ventilators! They have also ordered 2000 FDA Certified N-95 Surgical Masks. This equipment will save lives now and for years to come!

Grays Harbor is current facing an unprecedented threat to the health and well-being of our community. Ventilators are vital to saving lives if COVID-19, the disease caused by Novel Coronavirus, spreads into our community broadly. As the disease attacks the lungs, breathing can only
continue with the help of a ventilator. There has never been a greater need for this life saving equipment.

Having access to N-95 masks will improve the safety of our staff and patients. As we have all heard there is a national shortage, so for the Seabrook Community Foundation to find these masks is amazing and shows the dedication they have to our community. Some of the masks will also be shared with Fire District 8 and local police near the Seabrook community. Special Thanks to Grant Melocik for making this happen. Thank you to GHCH Foundation Chair Charlie Quigg, and Seabrook Founder Casey Roloff for your support during the process.

Grays Harbor Community Hospital is extremely grateful for the support the Seabrook Community Foundation, especially Board Chair Ellen Melocik for your steadfast support.

A special thanks to Lynn Csernotta, Grays Harbor Community Hospital Commissioner for being a vital bridge between the Hospital and the Seabrook Community Foundation. This might not have happened without your support and dedication to the community. Thank you!

In these complicated and often stressful times it is heartwarming to see so many people offering to help and others simply saying thank you for the work that our dedicated staff and providers are doing to keep us safe and healthy. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve such a great community.

Thank you to KIRO 7 News for telling this story and interviewing our CEO Tom Jensen. Shelby Miller and crew were friendly and professional.
